Amy Bauer - Amy heads up the administrative and policy side of Mangrove Security; she has a
background in computer network security engineering with such companies as Digex, Para-Protect, and EDS in firewall and intrusion
detection, and has written policies and procedures for a startup Security Operations Center (SOC).
Bill Bauer - Bill is the principal engineer for Mangrove Security; he has a long and varied
history in network security engineering, having started in the Internet Service Provider realm. Bill has been troubleshooting networks
since 1995. Bill has helped (technical reviewer) with a book printed by SANS and New Riders Press in 2002 on network perimeter security,
and has worked with several corporate and government CIRT (computer incident response teams) in his career.
Several other engineers have helped on Mangrove Security projects, and we are able to call on several specialists in arcane
sections of security and systems administration as necessary to assist in the fulfillment of projects for our customers.
Our core beliefs at Mangrove
Our core beliefs center around ethics (as opposed to "modern business sense", which seems to be in the favor of the corporate entity at the
cost of the individual) and helping people get a chance to grow. We support various causes, and are
willing to help small companies at lower prices than the large consulting companies charge because small companies need network security
assistance too - they simply can not afford the "market driven prices", and large corporations will not cut them any slack because they
have to meet their overheads.
